2nd Semester begins January 20, 2009
CHECK OUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PAGE-YOU CAN PRINT FROM THESE FILES!
Keep encouraging your children to do
their homework. You can look at their grades online to see what your child's current grade is and look at the IOWA PAGES
to see a teacher's plans and homework from week to week.
Two week grades
were taken before the break. Please check your child's grades online. We continue to have extra help sessions
on Monday's and Thursday's and your child is encouraged to attend!
Everyone
must sign up for all PSEO classes BY WINTER BREAK DECEMBER 19. Every student has been given AMPLE notice to register
for classes so please come in and sign the forms if you and your child would still like to register for a pseo class.
2nd Semester PSEO kids will have an overlapping of 2nd semester DMACC classes and wghs classes and it is the
RESPONSIBILITY of the STUDENT to work out their classes here at WGHS and DMACC so as to minimize time away from each place
and to not miss FINALS here at WGHS.
The semester is almost over. Keep encouraging your child to study
without distractions and work hard until the semester is over. Our semester ends Jan 16, 2009. Transcripts will be sent showing
all grades and credits through 1st semester 2008.
Remember that after the semester starts on Jan 20, 2008, your
child will have 3 days to drop and add a class at wghs so long as they don't have more than 1 study hall and up to 2 weeks
to drop a class without taking a F on their transcript.
If your child did NOT take a dmacc class this Fall, You
the parent will need to come into my office to sign the 4 forms before I will register your child for classes. This gives
me the opportunity to go over all of the new forms from dmacc as many things have changed.
Seniors-1st sem should
be spent doing all college applications and 2nd semester should be finding the $$$$$$$$$$$$
REMEMBER THAT AFTER THIS DATE, DROPS ONLY WILL BE MADE IF AND ONLY IF YOU ONLY WILL HAVE 1 STUDY HALL. Per the Woodward-Granger
handbook, a student may declare a class pass/fail within the 1st two weeks of class.
